This is an old photo from a few years ago, taken during an ensemble performance while studying at AIM. It reignited my passion for music and composing. Its good to look back every so often to see how far you've come. Recently I've performed #getaway and #chasingthesun at a few #Freshstartsounds concerts at Frankston library. It's something I never would've thought I'd have the courage to do, but here I am.

My focus the past couple of months was to make sure that I still had an income to support myself and be able to keep doing what I'm doing, and I'm pleased to announce that I was re-elected as a councillor for the city of Frankston for another 4 year term. I thank my local community for their support and recognition of the work I've put in to represent them the past 8 years. My focus this term is on sustainability and supporting the arts.

Now it's time to refocus on the music. I've been reading this incredible book by #amandapalmer called #theartofasking If you read todays Facebook post you will see that I have put it out there to ask the local arts community to help me to collaborate on new projects and to anyone who can help promote Getaway and new projects so that I can continue working in #domesticviolenceprevention #sisterhoodfmp launched their latest campaign in November during #16daysofactivism against domestic violence - a postcard size version of the poster that went out on the back of womens public toilet doors in May.
